The tiger groom
Digital video installation, 2010
The Tiger Groom presents the lonely narrative of a man’s unrequited love for a tigress in the local zoo. Presented like a natural history diorama, in which both man and animal share the lush wild vegetation as their living space. The piece unfolds through the narrator’s description of the decline of a man who desires to be a cat. This is the second piece in the artist’s trilogy of video installations that deal with factual accounts of incidents of Clinical Lycanthropy.
